I messed up on posting a picture with the first blog, but hopefully this one will turn out better. The URL is: http://www.flower-pictures-online.com/images/pink-gerber-daisies-picture-b3832pw.jpg

Introduction
Hi! My name is Kaci Applegate, and I’m a junior here at OU. I’m majoring in journalism (just straight print), with a minor in Spanish. I love foreign languages, though, and I’m almost finished with my Spanish minor, so I figured now was a great time to start learning Italian. Plus, I’d like to live in Italy for awhile, so knowing the language beforehand would definitely be a plus.
After I’ve learned Italian fluently enough to hold a conversation comfortably, I’d like to learn French, Mandarin Chinese, Swahili (I want to adopt children from China and Africa someday), and Greek—I’ll probably be learning languages for the rest of my life!
As for activities outside of class, I have quite a few. I’m a member of Sooner Scouts and the Honors College. I play the fiddle and have recently (within the last 3 weeks) started learning the guitar. I’m also a member of Bethel Baptist Church and sing in the college praise band every Wednesday night. You guys should come check out Bethel sometime—it’s amazing!
The thing that takes up the majority of my out-of-class time is work, though. I work at the Trinity Baptist Church’s pre-school. It’s called “Here I Grow.” I absolutely love the two-year-olds that I work with, and I never have to work after 6 or on weekends, so it’s the perfect job for me. I just started it this summer, so it will be interesting to see how it fits in with my class schedule!
Well, it looks like I just reached the minimum word length, so I’ll sign off for now!
